Pour-over
22 g coffee · 350 g water · 94 °C · medium-fine grind. Bloom for 40 seconds, then pour slowly in circles. Total time: about 3 minutes.
French press
30 g coffee · 500 g water · 96 °C · coarse grind. Steep for 4 minutes, break the crust, skim the foam and press gently.
Espresso
18 g in · 36 g out · 25–30 seconds · fine grind. Adjust the grind before the dose: finer to slow the shot, coarser to speed it up.
Cold brew
100 g coffee · 1 L cold water · coarse grind. Steep 14–18 hours in the fridge, filter, and dilute 1:1 with water or milk.
FAQ
Common questions
Whole bean or ground?
Whole bean stays fresh much longer. If you don't have a grinder, choose the grind that matches your brewer and use the coffee within two to three weeks.
How should I store my coffee?
Keep it in the resealable bag or an airtight container, away from light, heat and moisture. Avoid the fridge — condensation hurts flavor.
When does coffee taste best?
Most coffees peak between 5 and 21 days after roasting. Espresso roasts often benefit from resting a week before brewing.
What water should I use?
Filtered water makes a big difference. Coffee is about 98% water, so if it doesn't taste good on its own, it won't taste good in your cup.
